We are currently seeking a fully qualified Social Worker to work as a Safeguarding Adults Coordinator in West London
Duties:
1.Carries out all tasks in accordance with the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy and the Department's Equalities Strategy and promotes good practice across agencies involved in safeguarding vulnerable adults work.
2.Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of current research, policy developments and legislative changes in the field of protection of vulnerable adults.
3.Responsible for monitoring and reviewing the implementation of Safeguarding Adults: Inter Agency Guidelines for Wandsworth, identifying issues that need to be addressed by the Safeguarding Adults Policy and Development Manager and making proposals for remedial action.
4.Advises individual organisations on the development of their own complementary policies and procedures concerning adult protection work, ensuring they integrate with Safeguarding Adults: Inter Agency Guidelines for Borough and meet the aims and objectives contained in that guidance.
5.Establishes, develops and maintains good working relationships with responsible officers in each agency to ensure the effective implementation of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults: Inter Agency Guidelines for Borough by each agency.
6.Develops systems for engaging with users and carers, obtaining feedback on their experience of the safeguarding adults process to assist with quality improvements and involving them in the planning and development of services.
7.Contribute to planning and delivering a range of multi disciplinary, multi agency training on safeguarding adults.
8.Works with those who provide, commission and regulate the care of vulnerable adults to improve their understanding, awareness and knowledge of indicators of abuse and their ability to recognise where it has or is likely to occur.
9.Responsible for ensuring the wide dissemination of information to support best practice in the field of safeguarding adults, including documents and research papers from the Department of Health and other national bodies. Analyses and prepares reports on all major developments and trends arising from the documents and any benchmarks on good practice.
Pay rate is up to £24 per hour
